How to turn off the basic sun light of the levels. I try from WED > file > map properties > sun > 0, 0, 0 ; Ambient 0, 0, 0 , but the level is lighted again. I want it completely dark to be able to place lights (lamps) in the level.
help pls.

P.S. I tried with my.ambient=-128, but the sunlight affects the entities again.

Put a static light in your level and then compile it, otherwise it will be fully lit laugh

yes, but that works only on level geometry (primitives) made in WED.
when I put light in the level they automaticly become dark and the light affect them.
But the models (Entities) are always with their default ambient and the light doesn't affect them. frown

any ideas? laugh

I THINK you need to set the sun level really low but NOT zero.
Try it at 1,1,1 or 5,5,5

hmm the same result - models are lighted by the sunlight and the static lights don't light them, only the entities with lightrange>0 .

I found the problem - it is simple:

sun_light=0;
