Idon Beat Player

This is a project i'm currently finishing up for university. Once completed i will upload it to my site so you guys can download it, maybe i will also release it as open source.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1-6ZzZxmho

It's a sound visualization app, playing .mp3 and online streams. You can also import your own images which will then be displayed on the cubes.
I plan on adding winamp playlist import, as well as direct stream hook-up, so you can use any player you want together with my visualization.

Cubes are positioned and scaled based on music's spectrum (50Hz - 20kHz).
Camera speed/movement is based on bass. (can be turned off)
Camera zoom is based on bass. (can be turned off)
I might add strobo lights based on spectrum or bloom exageration based on bass, too. Have to check if it looks good. wink

Many thanks to HeelX for his awesome fmod wrapper which let's me analyze the music's spectrum on the fly!

Well, hope you like it!

kool! does it work with windoof media player 11?

At the moment it doesn't work with any player at. There is no playlist import or stream hook-up yet. I hope i can get the hook-up thing working, that would be awesome.

goil, welche infos aus den sound files nimmst du für die visuelle darstellung?

Wie HeelX schon richtig gesagt hat: Ich werte die Frequenzen des Fourierspektrums aus und bastel dann damit rum. wink

Well then, thanks for the feedback! And nice thing most of you seem to like the project. I haven't expected that laugh

interesting use of FMOD.
add costumization of interface, costum colorblock thing in middle, some other stuff, and that'll be a great player.

I switched to other account since marth 2010. Guess which.
