Dear Friends,

It's time for a new contest.
1) Register at the forum (if you didn't do it already)
2) Download the lite-C workshops and go through them (optional)
3) Download lite-C free version, create a small demo and post a link to it at the forum or email it to me. This month's contest theme is "create something using c_move", so feel free to create anything that deals with entity movement, as long as your demo runs by itself in the last version of lite-C free edition. Make sure to finish your demos before the 15th of November.

Suggested readings for this contest:
- The 18th workshop;
- AUM 67...87.

The winner will get a copy of A7 extra (a $99 value).

If you are an experienced user (you have over 1,000 forum posts or so) please give the beginners the chance to win their copy of A7. As you know, the regular AUM contest has much bigger prizes from now on so you can participate there.

Good luck! Don't forget to post your questions and comments here.

The deadline is the 15th of November. The prizes may vary depending on the complexity of the contest.

Hello George,
just a quick question on the contest. Do you want to see a complete game that is fun to play or a demo that shows all the things you could do with c_move or do you prefer a really well written script with a good documentation of the underlying ideas?
I'm asking because I really want to take part in your contest. But since I struggle with basic functions and the contest has a somewhat tight deadline I'd like to focus on what is asked in your competition.

Btw, thank you for these beginner's contests! I've learned quiet a bit about particles last month, even though I didn't participate in the competition itself. It is a great motivator for a beginner like me.

I'm glad to hear that you like these contests - I like them as well laugh. Anything is ok as long as it showcases the power of c_move and helps you / others learn more about the lite-C language. As an example, a complex shader demo that uses c_move to move a ball won't get points for the shaders, but for the c_move part of the code. Let's not forget that the users decide the winner by discussing the positives and negatives of the demos; I'm only here to make sure that the prize doesn't go to a less valuable project.
