Thanks for all the kind replies.

Most of it is all blocklevel. The pixelation shader fades away all of the
"typical blocklevel" feeling, and makes models seem part of the level instead of
separate objects in blockland.

laugh Hmm. The main character reminds me to Indiana Jones. grin
I think the entire graphic style and the locations like the library remind me the old Indiana Jones games.
Good luck for the contest wink

EDIT: Could you post a screenshot of the game, without this retro-shader?

Isometric and pixel:

No isometric and no pixel:

Indiana Jones closeup (well his name is Key, Key Perilous):

He was indeed created with the predecessor of Indiana Jones in mind, The Great White Hunter; Allan Quartermain.

Development is going incredibly slow, and then I realised I only have 2 more weeks x_x. So I hope to get some sort of story in it, it'll be a short demo with the story cut at a random moment laugh. I love those demo's.

Here another shot. If I die in the process next two weeks, at least you had a glimpse:

I really like the low poly style.
Keep it up.

Joozey, I must admit that this is looking pretty sweet. I can't wait to play it.

Beautiful. For the last couple of weeks (since my computer arrived in Toronto) I was tossing up between starting something for the contest and focusing all my energy on client work. I'm glad I chose the latter, because your project looks unbeatable laugh

I was considering using similar pixelation shaders (albeit for different purposes -- think Darwinia).

This really looks and sounds just perfect. Can't wait to play it, Joozey grin
