i imported a model from 3d studiomax but my man model can walk through the walls.

how do i get him to walk through the door and not the wall?

@cresbo: How do you move the model? Just by changing its xyz coordinates or do you use c_move/...?

Create the Wall and Door seperatly . Import those two models into WED, c_setminmax(me); shpuld be help to get a good Bounding Box.
If you only want to walk through the door (without opnening this with an Animation or Code) make the Door Model Passabel.

Hiya.

Also, make sure your wall is thick enough...I think the 'minimum' is 4 quants. I'd go with a minimum of 8 though, just to be sure. IIRC, there was a problem with this a version or two ago.
