hi a real quick question is their a trial version of the pro edition.

got com now and would like to try the difference in speed in general but especially for the shadows since pro has accelerated shadows.

in a8 com edition gets accerelated shadows too.

a7 com-> a8 com is cheaper than a7 com->a7 pro.

when I got my Pro I also wanted to know the speed difference between the standard and the accelerated shadows. Result: 1 fps! Why?-I´m not sure but perhaps the gpu driver of modern cards accelerates them automatically...but I don´t know whether this happens with Com too or not.

well if i turn on stencil shadows my levels grind to a halt, thats why i would like to test them in the pro edition

As far as I know A8 com will have accelerated stencil shadows, too ... so maybe you can just wait for the A8 release.

The speed difference is about 200% - accelerated shadows are 2 to 3 times faster than normal shadows, dependent on the number of polygons of your model.
