Well, the map compiler completes the compiling process. Then, I go in the game and check it out. Inside my world, I have a wall that is rounded; that wall is made by blocks that have a face moved so the block sits "skewed", like a rhombus. now, when compiling, the flush sides of the two blocks snap to a weird place, leaving the tiniest gap in between the two and makign a funny looking line on the edge between the two blocks.

Anyone ever had this problem or know how to fix it?

Post a picture of the ingame looks and the blocks in WED.
Else its hard to see what the problem is.

Often problems arise when the vertecies are not snapped
to a grid, leaving too small intersections and
angles at connections.

yes, i'll get him to post it soon but he isnt online atm so i'll try to explain, the vertices are snapped to grid, atleast in WED but after building it seems to go down the drain, also, when zoom level is changed, it rescales the map

You can chek if everything is snapped, by
opening the level as textfile.

There you can watch the vertex-coordinates.

If snapped, they should have nice even values.
Else they have some floatingpoint values.
(causing the compiler to have a hard time creating
the BSP)

How do I open it as a textfile?

in the WED config options.scr
change this:

; save the WMP file in the binary A7 format
SAVE_WMPB = off

this allows you to save the level in plain text

(WED should put that into the prefs as option)

Do i turn it off or on? It was on... i turned it off... nothing changed. I turned it on... nothing changed. Same when I turned it back off. I reloaded WED after each time I changed it...
