Just a suggestion from a newer Gamestudio user. I've come across a lot of situations where there is no reference to a specific function, variable, event, etc in the manual. Now many of these are referenced elsewhere under different parts of the manual but finding those other parts is even more difficult. I've posted some examples below.

ENABLE_ENTITY
ENABLE_BLOCK
HIT_TARGET

while examples like these are often referenced elsewhere (HIT_TARGET for example) it is difficult to find those areas if you don't know of their existence in the first place.

Some, like ENABLE_ENTITY are common sense and general knowledge once you know Gamestudio, they're not so common sense if you're new and don't know of them.

Additions to the manual will make Gamestudio more intuitive and easy to use for new and experienced users. I am a high school teacher who teaches game design programs and many of the other programs I've taught have much more extensive reference manuals that allows my students, myself, and all the customers that own the program to utilize the program in a more efficient and easy manner.

Happy customers create more :-)

Just my thoughts after a few months and some teachings.

Even when I like the manual the way it is, I have to agree because esp. in the german manual there are many things missing in the index list.

@Lecithin: For this purpose is the Blame the Manual forum, maybe we should open a new topic there where we continuously list missing references.

The manual index is automatically created and thus contains engine functions and variables, but not parameters. Just use the manual search function when you don't find something in the index.

I thought about using blame the manual but someone else had posted something elsewhere so I followed suit.

@Superku - something I would gladly help with but would they ever get put in?

@jcl - All I'm saying is that my students and I (which is a large lot) have noticed it and as they represent a broad group of customers, perhaps it would be a useful addition.

A7's manual is the most orgnized manual i have ever seen,
take alook to other engines or SDK's,you will feel lost.no examples, most of them
is online,leaking information.
A7's manual is very dynamic and the best.

Yeah, one of the very reasons why i find it 'easier'. Anything other than gamestudio or msdn documentation(and maybe some organized doxygen) style is confusing.

I've used and taught many programs and while Gamestudio's is a well done I think there are areas where it could be improved.

It does many things well (as you've said, the examples)

but there are other things that are difficult to find.
