You could try using sharp edges for.. well sharp edges, that gets rid of all that weird gorouard (or how the eff you write that 'friking word) shading where it doesnt fit, and even works when you import into MED from .3ds EDIT: looked again, its Hard edges (Edge mode -> Select edges -> Right click -> hardness -> hard) Here a comparison (left with hard edges, right without)

@Hummel Year disconnect them and you cant use Stencil shadows anymore(until we have a proper shadowmapping, this will remain as a problem).
