Hi all, I am just going to be brief as I'm writing this from my phone but I just need to understand c_scan better. I'm building a game at the moment and it is progressing nicely but recently I had added some AI. What's happening is when I have move within scan range of the enemy the engine slows down greatly and shortly after freezes. Before this occurs however the c_scan itself appears to work but just runs extremely slow. The other and final issue I have is once the event occurs and the you entity has been detected is the enemy should detach from its patrol path, and then begin attack sequence. This is not occuring, only the enemy fires bullets at the player as it should but even then this causes the freezing. I was hoping someone might have an idea off the top of their heads and save me posting a snippet first. Any help would be great!

you may have an infinite or very long loop somewhere- or are doing something many times during each frame that really should only happen once in a while...

but it sounds like the problem is in some code that activate when the player is scanned, so if you post something post that grin
