Hey Guys, tody i will post some pictures and a video of my actual GS project: One Man Armythe project name was changed two weeks ago, because we had changed the story, so we had to change the title because it doesn't fit the gameplay and story Currently we have no story elements implemented in the game, but i am looking forward to it. The gameplay is pretty good and the game will support many weapons. Here is a video, that shows you some gameplay and weapons, which i already implemented: [video:youtube] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P0-Yhr_S-M[/video] I think you noticed that the sound is not synchronized with the video. that's because i had to convert the video and an error occured during convertion. The comments are in german, i hope you understand them! Here are also some screenshots: i know that the models are from Intense-X or Counter Strike but our modeler is busy at the moment, so i use this models to test the game but we will use our own models in the finished game pleasy give tipps or hints what to do better! PS: it's all done with free editon!

I took a look on the video, because I am from berlin and I am understanding the comments, for better understanding I am going to answer in english. At first, I don't know why, but uploading a Gameplay video is one thing and thats good. BUT WHY ARE SO MANY PERSONS THINKING THE VIDEO HAS TO HAVE DARK/METAL/PUNK ROCK SOUND? I really just watched 30seconds with the sound. Not everyone likes that style of music, so please keep it out (although it is hard to listen to it when someone is screaming ALL THE TIME). Now to the game: Have you used templates? If yes) it looks pretty good. But I don't know what is special about that game? The Levels aren't pretty, lets be true. The sounds are okay and the models, as you said, not your own. If you doesn't used templates than it is even better, because its hard to program a ego shooter. Also nice that u have climbing in there, a little bit more than all those standard egoshooter from 3dgs. My advice is: Make your levels nicer. U just have squares and walls, fill in models, USE THE LIGHT, create some sort of atmosphere. Keep on your work

thanks, i think metal is a good music, it's at moment the ingame music, but any user can change the files and use his own music. I have programmed it all myself, from walking to shoot! Also, i need a level designer for this project, i think you told the reason why. Also the weapons will be better, because a friend of mine is a weapon freak and he wants to give me much information about weapons and so. I also think, the game will have much capacity to improve. currently i am working on my enemy ai, so there will be a better ai than that ai from the templates. i think, i need to implement a simple pathfindig, because the enemys have to know, where you are gone, if the want to follow you.
i will post more information, if i have the next version!

For Pathfinding I can (empfehlen) you Intense X from Larry Laffer. it is awesome for things like that!

Und die Sounds zufällig auch? So ne M4 mit Schalldämpfer ist gut und wenn man Ammo aufhebt hört sich das an als wenn man ne HE/Flash/Smoke aufhebt. Ansonsten muss das noch wenig ausreifen. Ich bin gespannt wie es aussieht, wenn euer Modeler wieder da ist.
