WED, MED, GED and SED work well so far; however, I'm getting:
a) A black screen at run time.
b) Black screens on WED and MED on default graphic settings.
Changed preferences for video diplay in WED and MED and they are both displaying graphics okay within editor.

I know this machine is "ancient", but I think similar machines represent a great number of machines out there.

Solution:

Hop on ebay and pick up a <$100 Dell Optiplex with integrated GPU. Test A8 on there. It will widen your market for those that can run A8. In short, please make sure 3DGS works on old machines (5-7 years old) with default settings.

Gamestudio since A6 needs DX9.0c. Wont run on DX8 or older.

Gamestudio runs fine on 5-7 years old machines. They only need a working 3D hardware and a recent DirectX 9 version.

When you get no error message but a black screen, this machine had most likely DX9 installed, but the video driver or something else in the configuration is broken.
