I want to import this path to blender, but blender reacts quite weird.



First try, everythig was fine. I could import and work with this path. But than I did some modeling mistakes right in the beginning. So I decided to restart and wanted to import the SAME file again - nothing! No path - no error message.

It doesn`t matter if I use eps or ai format. I can`t import any path now. Does anyone know smething about this problem?

The path is absolute clean. Just one line - so path itself couldn`t be the reason.

P.S. I build this model for a job. If anyone want`s to use it for a game, please send PM.

OK - there are a lot of ways and I did it now. The model is needed for a comic flash animation and uses just the outlines.

I asked my customer and I am allowed to offer the model for GS comunity for free.

My first chance to give something back for all your help. But now I have the next problem, importing model to MED.

There are lot of faces and vertices missing after import. Model is joined and grouped in blender. And of course the model is clean laugh

Looks like the faces were inverted on one half of the car. Try to flip the faces of the half in question. I don't know how the MED button for flipping faces looks like, though.

Hmm haven`t found anny "flipping faces" function. Overworked the blender model. Now it`s clean - I was lying yesterday grin

Is the a blender expert out there? Can any check my blender-file, please? I can`t find any mistake.

I had a look at it. (in blender 2.48a)
Switch to Edit Mode, and click under "Mesh Tools More" the button "Draw Normals".
Now each face gets a small blue line which shows to the direction where the face looks to.

To fix the inverted normals in Blender, press A when in edit mode. This will select the whole mesh. Then press CTRL + N. This should do the job. You can also call this function manually by clicking 'Mesh > Normals > Recalculate outside'.
