You should say what type of project, nobody want to join a team without a goal laugh

I think he's not looking for a team to join him, he's looking for a team he can join. Which is exactly the right approach in my opinion.
So good luck! I'm sure you'll find someone who has the need of another helping hand...

My advice, post a link or some pictures of some work you've done or do some simple models showing your skills !
With good skills you'll find lot more teams !

Sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian...

For A8, you can rise your coding skills , with any free 3D models, you can even found a lot in Acknex unlimited site or free ones in TurboSquid for example !

To improve your modeling and texturing , you can post on forums like Polycount.net, gameartisans.net , 3Dtotal.com, if you ask for critiques advices, lot of people can help you ) !

Before joining a team try to finished before some littles games using your 3D art ! find a game you like , for example Megaman; make it 3D with a Third person camera, with ennemies and levels ! It's just an example !

The better way to improve is PRACTICE A LOT , MAKE ERRORS, MAKE BAD LITTLE GAMES FIRST , AND HARD WORK laugh

So don't hesitate make your own mini games, you'll improve 3D art and A8 code( lot of people can help you here) !

-------

Another way, find people that are also beginners and find together an idea of game , without targetting too hight !

Juts my personnal advices !

Well, also, I was wondering if you wanted to be paid or unpaid.

Erm, these posts are several months old.

Note that the date is listed as day/month/year on this forum. I always get confused about that.

we'd be more than happy to have you as a part of the scion team, this is the exact kinda people we want to work with, people starting out and want to reach a goal.. however, the main problem with this is that most people lose interest with time...

anyways as others have said, you should post some shots of models your working on, complete or not...

from my side, heres a few videos of games ive worked on:
