Starting with Easy Particle 3 is quite easy. When starting the program, you will first see an icon bar on the upper side of the screen, allowing you to configure the following (from left to right):

- Particle velocity
- Color
- Size
- Amount
- Alpha – Changing the alpha value will also change the particles’ transparency.
- Lifecycle
- Gravity
- Collision
- Flags - Flags are settings with only two values: True or false.
- Timeline – Includes various time settings and the complete Timeline feature.
- Sprite – Offers you to assign individual sprites to any particle
- Effect – Allows for configuring special effects
- Waypoints – Enables you to place waypoints and change their settings. Waypoints are explained in detail in one of the following chapters.
- Generate – When having configured all settings, you may generate your script using this function.
Generate Sprite – Offers you to generate animated sprites.
The menu bar (File – Edit – View – Help) includes additional configuration options.

ATTENTION: Some icons are hidden when using a resolution below 1600 x 1200. The bars between the icons Alpha – Lifecycle/Flags – Timeline/Waypoints – Generate offer you to shift the icon bar to the left and right (by clicking in the bar and moving the mouse to the left and right).

Clicking on one of the icons mentioned above will open a dialog window, offering you to apply the corresponding settings. To close the window again, right-click on the x in the upper right corner (optionally, click on the icon in the icon bar once more).

When you have completed all settings and want to generate the script, press the „Generate“ button! The script and all required files (including sprites) will now be copied to the scripts subfolder in Easy Particle.
