Hello,
I aM trying to make a tree, I made my leaf a pcx 32 bit texture. I then put it on a box. See photo




I put the setting in there so you can see then.

this is what I get in the game engine.

You know that pcx doesn't support alpha channels so that you still have 24 bit?

Check if the black is really absoultley black, if it is just 000001 instead of absolutley 0 it won't be detected as alpha channel. I never used pcx sorry, but TGA works fine for me.

I tryed TGA and the black still can be seen. I don't know what else to do. I hope some one can help.

you added the alpha channel yourself right? the 4th channel?

what is d3d_autotransparency = 1?

In Gimp you can simply click on Layers -> Add Alphachannel and then you have it.
For autotransprency look in the manual.

Like.... what the heck is this?
I got the same darn thing happening.
I have two of the original models from the car template in my new simulation and
one works propely and the other is ******I-up like yours.

The one working ok is the fern model, lp_farn.mdl.
The bad one, doing as your problem, is the grass model...
I haven't figured it out yet, but I expect it's the same problem you've run into.
My best guess is that we both got something hosed-up with the code.

I do run my game with the code "d3d_autotransparency" set at 1, and I still got the same problem with a few models.
When I figure this out, I'll let you know. If you beat me to it, please let me know.
