Heya guys,
i've got a recording device and need to connect it to the TV + my console so i need RCA Splitters.

I've found some at BestBuy and other shops but they sell it for 10 bucks each which is way overpriced.

I saw these cables for like 2 bucks and less:

Does someone know if they work with all 3 colors (Red, White and Yellow) or do i need a specific splitter for each color?

Thanks in advance!

The cable you are looking at is only Sound.
Red and White are the Stereo Sound cables.

Only the yellow one is the Picture.

So with this cable you have sound but no Video.

Hm yeah i know the colors are for audio but that's confusion me.

Okay let me try to explain it better. My recording device is called Dazzle and it has 3 female RCA slots (Red, White Yellow) to catch the signal from the device youw ant to record with. The dazzle itself has an USB output going to your PC/Laptop.

Normally i could just plug my console into the RCA slots and record it, but then i have to use the recording preview as gaming screen, and this one is laggy of course.

So what people do is, they buy 3 RCA splitters, 2 female -> 1 male.
Each splitter goes into the Dazzle. Then you put your Console cables into each of the female, and use another double sided male composite cable to connect your tv -> dazzle as well.

I need those splitters (2 female -> 1 male). I saw other videos where they use splitters and the package said "Audio Splitter" but they use them for all 3 slots (Red, White, Yellow).

So i was wondering if the Cable itself has a specific setup or something or if its just "cinch is cinch" and you can connect them however you want?

Code:
TV -------- Splitter Female #1 ---\
                                   ---Dazzle ---- Laptop.
Console --- Splitter Female #2 ---/

These splitters will work fine for the audio channels (red and white).
But for the video channel (yellow) its a bit trial and error...

The problem lies in that not all devices use the same 'impedance' on their inputs.
So you may find that splitting the video may give the devices "unbalanced" signal,
so one or the other or even both may not receive enough signal to show a 'clean'
picture.

If this is the case, you could look around for an 'active'(uses power) splitter,
or even another cable-splitter with heavier insulation may do it too..

I would go for the active splitter certain sucess.... You can probably get one
for about $20, and it will handle the video and both audio channels.

[EDIT}You should be able to find something lke THIS but ONLY two channel.
With a bit of hunting you should be able to find one that does the audio channels too.

Okay so i went looking for an active splitter but they were kinda too expensive so i just found those red/white cables in a dollar store and bought 3 of them for 3 bucks. And guess what, it works indeed!
