You said you're good at C-Script, so I guess you have a gamestudio version. Stay with it, buy A8 or use the free edition and learn lite-C (which is almost the same language).
The free version does not support C-Script because it is a free (!!!) version, not the full application/ suite.

Why don`t you learn Lite-C? It`s faster, better, and ultra easy to learn if you already know C-Script.
I once converted my back then 50 000 lines project from C-Script to Lite-C. It was not a big problem at all. And I`m no pro, I`m a beginner compared to some other guys here in the forum.

If you wantto use A7 or A8 you have to learn Lite_c otherwise you must modify your C Script codes in to Lite_C but this make a lot of work for you.Better use Lite_C and must have a Full Version of A7 or A8

First of all, look at the "Migration into LITE-C" in manual. And start conversion step-by-step (function by function). If you'll have some problems, don't give up, try more and more, if you can't handle it at all, post here some part of it, and we'll help. I changed to LITE-C myself a long time ago and it very easy, 1000 times easier than you think dude. Just give it a try.
