I own the A6 and A7 Commercial editions. I've been using A7 for a while now, but I wanted to do something with A6. The problem is, I can't remember how to activate the Commercial edition.

I have the key.exe file, but I have no idea what to do with it. I thought I would just unzip it into the Gstudio6 folder, but that doesn't work, it still shows up as the trial version.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit now, maybe that's the problem. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

As I remember: Put the key.exe in 3DGS folder, run the exe and all done.

Thanks, I tried doing that. The file unzips, but when I go into WED, it still says 'trial version'. Maybe it will work after the trial ends?

I think no. The key activated immediately A6. MTD is exactly describe the procedure how use key, i sure this should work. If not try contact support.

Try first unlock A6 without update, maybe update make some problems...

hmmm, yes, I think I tried installing the update first. I'll try reinstalling again.

check that all files are NOT writeprotected
before running the key.
(check that the files are unzipped into the correct directory)

You can also manually install the files by converting the
key.exe to a zip
