Wicked Starbase Defense

Defend your planet from 20 waves of enemies. Using a variety of weapons, from lasers, death rays, missiles, photons and gravx. Defend your planet and save your people.

This is a fast paced action shooting game. upgrade your weapons and recharge your shields to win this defense game. with 20 levels a Statistics panel and a shop to buy and upgrade your starbase.

Game is not complete. although the core game is finished. still a few bugs and spelling errors. missing high score table and some other things.



I have entered the game into the 2010 - 2011 winter contest. Don't forget to vote! only after you have played all the entries first laugh

You have a funny little game.

For the weapons you should make it autofire while holding the mouse down - or fire in
a burst.
The constant clicking is hurting my hand.

I actually like the graphics somehow, as they dont
try to be more than they are.

I agree there is a lot of clicking.
my hand hurts too...

my modeling skills are very basic. so i try to just make it the graphics flow with everything. I am glad you liked them. laugh

I will probably finish the high score system and that will probably be it for the game. I don't see a lot of interest in it so ill move on to a new project.

Sounding a bit disappointed...
I played it too and i liked it.
I would see the mousebuttonholdingfire too and i would had made the Deathray differ much more from the usual laser, because after a certain points of upgrades for the laser, they are almost exact the same in firerate and damage.
Especially i liked the 2D feeling in the 3D Game.

It's not the game that makes he game. It's the polish. You haves some critiques. Use gsm to make the game better and more interesting.

Thanks for the advise. Im happy with the gameplay of the game and i have mixed feelings on weather to put more time into the game. when you say polish the game what do you mean exactly? better graphics? better modles? better special effects? or a better menu?

I was planning on finishing the highscore table. in the next couple weeks. I wouldnt mind spending some time polishing it to make it more presentable.

ill take into consideration the previous comments and seggestions as well when i work on the game.
