Here's the proof that they were wrong. Here is a shot of a Beretta Gun I'm modeling in MED:




Starting with a cube and doing good use of extrude button you can achieve this

Also people do not say you can't do anything with med. it's just easier with other tools.

I think a lot of stuff can be done in MED, but it'll be more harder

i made all my models with MED.
you're right, if you work with MED for some time then you can do really nice stuff. but the texturing is a bit ... hard but this can also be done with MED. it just takes its time.

(...maybe i'll upload a picture of one of my models)

take look at Otters models made in MED its AMAZING what she creates with this tool

Add gun's photo as background and manipulate vertex and use extrude to copy the shape.

Model finished, texturing took me a lot of time I created the texture from a public domain photo in wikipedia, and manipulated using Gimp's clone tool
