i think sprite & shader, simply check the infinite_terrain.c from sample folder how it works, maybe it helps.

Yes, if you'll adjust settings, apply shaders, wait, there is no shaders in AUM... So ok, if you'll adjust settings, will write shaders and apply them... No, it's still isn't like Far Cry 2 grin

Beautiful.

You know what I'd like to see? I'd like to see a game or two that are just pure exploration. Give the player absolutely no objectives or plot, and just just throw him down into a world that he may explore to his leisure.

To be interesting you'd have to create a movement system as complex as Mirror's Edge and enough ambiance to keep the player from getting bored (basically program every bug and flower in the game to be unique). But man... I'd really like a game like that.
