would like to see a faster and better looking play of media files. With more smooth between the frames and in general more frames at all. To many lags compared whith what a normal media player shows in Windows when playing the same movie.

Furthermore the control of the files is not that good. For example I would like to be able to restart/reset a Video. Or what about the possibility to jump to a certain frame?

Something like this on your list, jcl?

The engine does not play media files. The Windows media player does that. Videos are streamed, which means they can be restarted and reset, but you can not jump to arbitrary frames. And how good your videos look is totally up to your talent.
