Trine2 also uses shaders. in fact it relies hevily on shaders to make it look that good

I didn't seen taht screenshots , but Grown Vally indeed is well done without big technology laugh

Yes Trine 2 , is very detailled , but that's not the shaders that makes all the game, even baked normal maps could do as good.
They put lot of little details in the levels and levels, that already makes the grame great !
