Been working on a vertexshader to deform a mesh with sine waves.

vertexshader.1.1

Here is a small demo of the motion ~ 1.35MB

Looks great! Now let's combine it with a water shader and there you go

Yah.. it's ocean.

The plan is to combine it with a water effect. I'm playing around with some different code for the large body texturing though.

Can you vertexshader meshdefrom with morphtargets as well instead of a sinus wave????
This would enable talking models and lipsync if you can add morphtarget models to the meshdeformations.

This would rock...but no pressure at all

looks good, works great!!

The motion looks great and very ocean like.

I mentioned this some time back and not sure if it is of interest -or relevcant- but check out the flooding algorythym examples on this page http://www.texture-editor.com/ not sure if they can give you ideas to add some more complex movements.

Steempipe, I've spent a lot of time sailing off of the Oregon and Washington coast in small boats. This... puts me there. You've nailed it. Most excellent.
