Hello,

I am exploring the A8 gamestudio tools and figure out how
they work together. But there is a part that i dont under
stand. Its about GED, the ingame editor.


I use MED to make models.
I use SED to script models.
I use WED to combine models and add scripts.

But at this point i get stuck.
Because when i combine models with my terrain they
offcourse dont fit 100% so i got to manipulate the
heightmap while i place the models on there location,
this cannot be done in WED or MED so i think i need
to use GED for this. But i get errors all the time
when i use GED. And i cant find much documentation or
work arrounds.

Errors i get are:

Cant open DirectX device.
Error code E1241

I read the error code and it has something to do with
DirectX 9 not being correct installed. But i have a newer
version installed: DirectX 11.0

Could someone help me out?

I dont know about the errors but as for the offscale model problem you could go to WED, add a model and then go back to MED with that model and rescale it from there. Thats what I normally do.
