for my project, i work with deacls
decals are great and nice to handle but now i have a problem

please look at the pictures ( and dont stare at the boobs )

at picture nr.1 i place a decal on the left side of a entity
looks fine

at picture nr.2 the decals is shredded but the entity have the same meshes
both sides are the same

if i place the decal a bit down it will work on both sides

the next question i have is
i wanna place the decal at the right leg, but it appears on both legs
why?

The problem looks as if it's due to animation. The decal animation only works with CPU, not with GPU animation. Look for the description in the manual, especially the remarks about d3d_near_decals and particle_mode.

For a tattoo I'd use a skin, not a decal. Decals are more for external elements, such as bullet holes or the like that must be dynamically added and removed.

d3d_near_decals and particle_mode dont change anything

if i use a another entity it works
