I was trying to get started trading a strategy on a live account and that's the error message that Zorro shows:

Broker: Login - Cannot connect to www.fxcorporate.com server.
Trade and update servers are only available during normal trading desk hours. If you have received this error during normal trading desk hours, there may be a problem with your network settings or firewall software which is preventing the connection to the servers. Check it or contact your system administrator. can't connect!

Points to note:
- I can login to this live micro account using the FXCM Micro Trading Station
- If I try to connect to a demo account it works fine.

Is this an FXCM problem with their API?

Problem resolved, feel free to delete this thread. Thanks

Ok, I thought the problem had been resolved as I could login but now the problem is that I have 2 accounts, one which is closed with a balance of 0 and a new one which I funded a few days ago.

So details are:
Account #1, balance 0 (closed account)
Account #2, balance 200

My User ID to login to the FXCM platform is the same as Account #1, so when I login through Zorro, it doesn't give me the choice and directly connects to Account #1.

Zorro assumes that my User ID and Account # that I want to connect to are the same but they are not.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just found this information on the FXCM microlot website:

Some accounts have a log in that is different from the account number. Please be sure to be typing the log-in information, and not the account number in the log-in field. Your log-in information and account number was provided in the registration email sent to you when your account was first opened.

So could you include the option to specify the account number in the next release of Zorro? Only then will I be able to trade using Zorro.

Thanks
Guiom

Ok, we'll add that option.

Ok, after quite a few emails going around FXCM support desk there is a very simple answer to the problem that I had.

With a micro account one can only have one account per login but more than one login. So all I had to do was to open a brand new account with a new login and now I have a login with only one account, which resolves the problem I raised.

Thanks for your help jcl.
