hey in general looks nice, but please be careful with copyrighted material you use, this can make big problems.

Better create your own textures an models and use own names, maybe you can make it commercial one day ;-)

Nintendo is very strict when it comes to hobby projects, so better scrap the Zelda theme and do something else with the same art style (I love it) or don't post it here. I really like the outdoor top down screenshot. Very consistent art style

I'm also trying to do some sort of Zelda game.

Do you use 3D tiles ? or custom polygons for the level ?

You should change your models, Nintendo will not like that indeed ! Don't play too much with their copyrights, it could be very hard for you in the real life !

Well if it is for playing and have fun coding, ok , do it , but you should change references and models to Zedla game.

And you can make even the sdk naming you project "The Shadow Stone"

But yes , he should be lot more carefull indeed.
Having kokiri like title and some link with "Zelda" word , only make it lot more visible to detection engines.

He should make is own game , keeping this gameplay system !

Blocked video has nothing to do with copyrighted material from Zelda, but with the music.

Additionally, imho, he does not want to make money, and I think he should just use the models as long he makes it open source.

I don't know, but i have already seen NON COMMERCIAL games, just home made due to stop being distributed.

Well if he wants to play with these models, ok, but be carefull the day he will distribute something.

@Toast :
This beautifull canceled projects seems lot more some tribute , and they say in the comments , that Nintendo no more deserves such great work tribute !
