I'm certainly late to the party, but Solar System contains some pretty obvious copyright infringements. Now I don't know much about the rules, but shouldn't proprietary third party content be out of the game without any further discussion? To be honest, I'm really surprised no one said anything about this so far (with the only exception being Christian), given that this is a forum where people are usually swinging their pitch forks in no time if one of their assets is about to get stolen (even if it's just happening in their wet dreams).

Congrats to Jonas though, well deserved mate!

Justsid
thx for the congrats to me to wink (as if i do not deserve it)
however I agree and already admitted in using the stuff I got from YouTube the main goal of the contest was to create something people could use to train learn in a gaming way. I put a lot of work into this and succeeded in reaching for the goal. When I read your post it looks to me you think my work was easy to create in a short time and trust me for me it was work i am still pretty proud off.
The proposal of not using any copyrighted stuff in the future seems good to me as I am sure in all past contest you will find stuff not always belonging to the one that created a entry

In my opinion you do not deserve it. You kind of state the reason in your post already, but let's just ignore the blatant copying of other peoples IP and analyze what we've got left; A game that wants to teach something but doesn't. Christian already pointed out that the orbit and scale of the planets is wrong, so you aren't actually learning something about the solar system. The only real teaching component are the 20 second audio snippets, which you didn't make (and even they provide very little information. But whatever).

And as if it's not enough to copy other peoples IP, you also pass it off as your own work. The credits state that you made all the content, and there is nothing stating that you used other peoples work. So you copied other peoples work, claimed it was yours and enriched yourself in the process. Definitely something you should be proud of.

To make it short, I won't congratulate on this. To be honest, I don't even think that you deserved to take part in this contest to begin with (let alone even win it).

Except that I was writing about copyright infringement. But yeah, your mileage may vary.

There is a difference between using work that is under the public domain and committing copyright infringement and fraud. Also; Citation needed.

JustSid@ what is wrong with you? are mad or something? if you think that Realspawn doesn't deserve his prize, then try to contact with the support-team (judges maybe), or do whatever you want, but why shitting the forum by offending a person, which really tried to do his best (using someone else work as a part in his own, wasn't stated in the contest, was it)?? Plus, I don't really think, that all orbits and scales of the planets should be 1:1 to real ones, I guess he aimed this for kids (have you ever seen books for kids??). Man, you really acted like a jerk..

Edit: Ohh, and please, if you really have something to tell me, do that via PM, don't act on public, as you usually do.
