Good Morning,

and yet another problem turned up. My models dating back to A6.31 (I think. 32?) sink into the ground up until their ankles. I have noticed, however, their center differs from more recent models ( see here (external link)). Playing with the BB-settings just results in an absurd Bounding Box and doesn't fix the problem ( another pic ).

Since in A6 they still run fine, I assume something in the engine has changed. What is it and are there ways to fix it? I am grateful for any hints.

I see three possible solutions for you:

1. When you want to center your model you can do this with a global transform in MED. You can do this via the menu "Object" -> "Transform Global" -> "Center".

2. You can update the entities hull by code. A simple call to http://www.conitec.net/beta/ac_updatehull.htm should do the trick and set the hull correctly.

3. If you want to be in total control you can also set min_x, min_y, min_z, max_x, max_y and max_z. This will give you total control about the entities bounding box. The manual however recommends not to choose a box larger than the entity itself.

I'll choose Gate #3. Yeah, just found out that I don't have to change max but min when sinking into the ground. Ah, well, it was a seven years break... blush

Many thanks. Helpful board BTW.
