I am creating a massive multi player game!.
What would be the best way to work so that the game be as light as possible.
compose the world with models? or give preference to objects created directly in world editor?

The Level /World I Would make with WED. With Terrain and Blocks for Outside Level. Rooms with Blocks and then the enemys as Models. If you put to much Models
in WED you need much of Recources.

Create the map in max, maya or something powerfull, then export as fbx and import in wed.

YEYE. I Working with 3D Studio MAX. Is easier for me to create my models in MAX and then exported to FBX.
I was afraid of using these models, even using LOW POLY Because I thought using the direct WED Objects the game would be more speed.

Dont use blocks for details. Fex. dont build a ladder out of blocks. Use LOD. Use DDS textures. Maybe use sprites for far distance models. Dont place too much overlay ents (can cause serious fps drops). Use ent_animatefrom if models can share theyre animations (bones only). Only apply actions to model if really neccesary (fex dont apply a action for set(my, TRANSLUCENT) use WED prop window instead). In indoor maps u could build the maps in parts and clip them away (fex, if ure in the 2nd floor clipa away 1st floor).

if my game is running at a rate of 35 FPS can have more objects with action on screen than to a rate of 60 for example?
