Worlds Away
Designed and Developed By : Evermore Evolution

Worlds away has now been completed and ready to display. I built the game in around 6 months. (2 months on artwork) (3 months on programming) (1 month on updates and debugging) However, there are still a few minor issues that I need to take care of before publishing it.

Built with 3DGS A8 Commercial Edition.

I hope to have a demo for you soon, but until then I hope you like the screenshots from the game. Enjoy.

GAME DATA :
Genre : Point and Click 2D Casual RPG.
Type : First-Person 2D Exploration with puzzle solving.
Language : English.
Platform: PC Only.
Game Controls : Entire game is played using the mouse.
Battle System : Mouse clicks and motion allows for striking enemies and defending onscreen attacks.
Release Date: Current release date is set for May 10th.

The environment looks really good, the blue purple colors give it a mysterious feeling. Reminds (mainly your 3rd picture) of this ancient game: pic 7th quest

I just skipped to 2:15 of your first video and I have to say that's a pretty interesting concept for a fight scene! Would it be more difficult if the enemy attacked at the same time and/or moved instead of staying still on the screen?

I went through a few design concepts before deciding on this one. I originally tested the battle with moving enemies, animated enemies, as well as multiple onscreen enemies. and yes, it would not be easy to animate and code 20+ 2D enemies.

Instead, I chose to go with an old-school style battle system to remove further problems and to meet certain milestones that I had already set.

If budget and time allows, I will try to update the battle system to be more animated and interactive. Although, due to the various other projects I need to complete, It may have to wait until the sequel.

NEW UPDATES :
Worlds Away is set to be released on May 10th as long as their are no complications along the way. I will be selling the game through my shop at evermorevolution.com and a release date is also set to sell the game on Desura.com at the same time.

Until the new website opens in a few days. You can get more information at my IndieDB company page. It is updated every day and you will continue to see changes up until the games release.

Evermore Evolution Release Update :

As we wait for the transition from indieDB to Desura. We are hard at work on our website and shop. Since the new site will take longer than expected, we have set up a single page quick shop for our PC game Worlds Away.

We will release the game through evermorevolution.com on May 10th. So just in case the Desura setup takes too long, the game will still be released on the set date.
