It's a very very simple shader, but it is excellent when it comes to making new lighting models

i like the toon, plrobably look good on a flat colored model... is it toon and per picxel? I would love a mixture of matts and your toon... if possible...

Actually, the shader is VS1.0 and does not use PS at all. So it is lightning fast . I'm going to add normalmapping underneath this so you can even have normal mapped toon models if you want (or some really nice lighting effects above the standard normalmapping lighting model).

In general normalmapped toon models do not look good, and you'll need a dependend texture read, which makes it slow.

i think what makes a toon shader "toony" is that it uses/creates simplyfied looks. if there is to much details in the texture its not toonstyle anymore.
