I'm trying to set and unset TrailLock in a TMF, but it doesn't seem to be working the way I want.

Perhaps it is not even possible to set TrailLock after you're already in a trade?

The initial trade is opened without a TrailLock setting (ie default 0) but in my TMF, if the profit level reaches a threshold, I want to set TrailLock to both a) lock a majority of the existing profit; and b) still allow the trade to run if it is currently experiencing strong momentum.

If TrailLock cannot be selectively set/changed inside a TMF, then does that mean I have to essentially calculate the TrailLock percent manually inside the TMF and use a hard stop level?

Is there an easier way to accomplish this?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that TrailLock, Stop and so on are only for entering a new trade and don't change already open trades.

Quote:
All entry and exit parameters must be set before calling enterLong / enterShort. They have no effect on already entered trades. For changing a stop or profit target of a particular trade after it has already been opened, use either a TMF, or call exit with the new target
