I was experimenting with Steempipes shader ffptertex 04.05.04.1
and his blendme.tga file. I have Gamestudio Commercial 6.22.0 Nvidia Geforce 2 GTS card.
The shader looks nice, even on my old card. But when the view has no level geometry in it, the terrain suddenly looks like snowcovered ground. All texture vanishes. When the camera view picks up the edge of a block in the view, all of a sudden the ground is textured again. This does not seem to be a major problem, since it would be no big deal to put some blocks around on the terrain, but it would be nice to fix this problem.
Does anyone have an idea what is going on, and how I can fix it?
Thanks,

Jim

I must have asked this question poorly. Let me try again. Has anyone noticed terrain losing all texture when no level geometry is in view of the camera?
Thanks for any help.
Regards,

Jim

Got your PM. I could never get this replicated. However, one user that was using a GF2 had wrote to me about that. Maybe there is something that needs to be changed in the code. I'll take a look as soon as I can.

OK. Great. I have a small level showing the effect that I could make available if you need it. Just let me know.

Thanks,

Jim
