Hey there!

just a quick question to the more experienced ppl: is it possible to render into a volume texture using direct-x 9?

I don't think so, but I'll ask anyway.. maybe there's a way grin

kind regards, Kartoffel

unwrapping the 3d texture... why didn't I think about this? grin

gonna be slow as hell though... this one needs twice as much texture sample operations than it does with a volume texture, but it could work.

thanks a lot!

Edit: and this shows again that direct-x 9 is outdated as fuck :<

yep thought the same thing. But it's also pretty mindfucked to render a 3d model into a 3d texture grin
