...because the weather is soo good today

http://www.earthcontrol.de/temp/beta/bL_1.zip (only available as long as I clean my website up;))

including:

1.letters from a to z

2.skycube (two sizes, since my radeon 9800 doesnt support the bigger skycube
for environment apping)

3.script that shows you how to integrate

4.glass.fx (based on rendermonkeys glass and already posted once) with a list of different calculations for the resulting outlook

you should however optimize the shader when you've choosen your desired effect because there may be some redundant lines with unused variables.

feel free to give some credits, but not needed

have fun with it, ello
www.earthcontrol.de

some shots of whats inside:

when running the exe, press left mouse to stop letters from falling
and while holding left mouse hold right mousebutton and
move the mouse to rotate them by hand

btw. i know that this produces crashes in some cases (mostly in the current beta)

Hmmm

Shaders didn't work for me, GeForce 2MX.

Should work on my PC not this family one.
Tommorrow it should be fixed, and then I can installed wireless internet!

Anyway, great contribution!

I downloaded it too just to see if I could find a shader that works on my video card (NVIDIA GFORCE 4) and newpppppppp! Doesn't work, not complaining at you, just complaining in general, I knew the shader more than likely wouldn't work, but I downloaded it anyhow. VERY nice glass effect though! Keep up the good work.

seems to work for me i like the glass effects.

um some are poping up looking more like crome/metalic vs glass/transparent

which of the fx is that one? I got a model i been working on i want to get the EXACT same effect on it.

just switch thru the different return instructions by commenting/uncommmenting them to find your desired one.
my intention was to show you how easy effects can be modified. even some toon-modifications are there. they use the fresnel term for outlining
