Hello,

I have the standard version of A6 and finally realised that there is no physics engine. I know it's to make you buy the expensive higher versions, but physics are absolutely neccessary to make a game. I will upgrade to Commercial if the limit to physics is removed.
I am not willing to buy Pro.

I can't make any game without physics. Physics to me is one of the most important things in a game. I am willing to upgrade to Commercial and am willing to pay the 149 USD for the upgrade, but I need a physics engine. I'm not buying it until an unlimited physics engine and premade scripts are provided.

Thank you,
=McSqueaky=

zug zug... yessss master... makkess physix cheaps for yous nows..

Seriously though - do some research before you post these types of threads. I'm tired of seeing these posts... Here are some options:

A) Use Newton physics engine with Commercial. It's quite comparable.

B) Script your own physics events in Standard/Extra.

C) Make use of the 1 physics object in Commercial.

D) Take out a loan and upgrade to Proffesional.

E) Make a full fledged game without physics then get money from investors to pay for Proffesional.

F) Take out another job and pay for Proffesional.

G) Create your own physics engine add on.

H) Hold up a picket sign outside of Conitec's office saying "I want cheap physics". Mabye... just mabye.. they'll give in.

I) Not put physics in the game.

HAHAHAHAHAHA , this is one if the most ridiculous posts i've seen in a while. William posted the options u have , though i do wonder why u feel physics are one of the most important things to u in a game , and why u cant make a game withought them , I'm sure u cant make a game with them either , but I wonder why u give them such priority , when in fact , they are more of an addon than anything. Games have been made withought real physics for a pretty long time and most games up to nowadays have been made with either no physics or just scripted ones , dont see where not having physics is a real limitation unless your making a vehicle game or something , in any case , like william said , if your utterly against purchasing the pro edition you can always use Newton or script ur own from scratch.

Alright, fine. No reason to be rude. The second post was very helpful, thank you. Second post, thank you but I think you could have just left the topic without replying instead of insulting me.

Well , your request is massively rediculous , in fact , it's downright stupid , so how else was I to post. Why dont you ask them to include unlimited physics , shaders support and unlimited multiplayer in the standard package , so you'll be able to enjoy a full feature GS version for the standard edition while everyone else has to pay for the Pro edition for those features.

Maybe, but there is no need to be rude about it.

Remember, you are talking to real people here and most (almost all) don't like to be called stupid. So, relax. And if you can't answer the question with being rude, don't answer it at all.

@ McSqeak: I don't write what I think about you in the light of your post. Instead I advise you to take a look at the download-page from 3DGS and look for Newton physics.

Now that you have a physic-engine I hope to see you soon in Showcase I

The physics engine that gamestudio uses is free. Its called ODE and can be downloaded at http://ode.org/. You could probably make a plugin to use it with gamestudio instead of having to buy the professional version.
