Here's a little Point&Click RTS Style game pack, very incomplete, but some of you might find it useful. It's really just a compilation of many other little scripts and resources others have contributed, but here you can see how they all fit together. I threw this together for another project I was working on that didn't get anywhere, so I figured I'd release this.

Features:
+A* Pathfinding. Player will walk around obstacles.
+Point&Click RTS Movement. Left click to walk, right click to run.
+Simple yet effective 3rd person/isometric camera.
+Dust Effect at player's feet.
+Simple Test Level

Click to Download

Use at your own discretion. Some plants by loopix, terrain modified from Terminal26 (free)...

I see that it is a tweak or at least uses the code I uploaded months ago. It seems to work better when used in an all models environment. I got stuck once but not again. The only thing that gave me a headache was that insane panning camera, but that was easy enough to change.

Change the camera.pan = player.pan; line to camera.pan = 90;

Yeah, some of it is OrangeBrat's contributions The reason why the camera is so juttery is because the player is walking on terrain - it looks much smoother on flat ground. Also, the player walks around the hills because they are too steep - this is the pathfinding. (they're actaully much steeper than they look from this angle).

Btw, terrain is by Czeslav Gorski (I know I butchered the spelling haha sorry) from Terminal26. I just tweaked it a bit and added detail mapping. It's free to use for whatever you want. In terms of texturing though, this kinna stuff isn't too hard. Maybe I'll do a tutorial sometime...

thanks orange.
dont mind me, im a noob.
but is their an easy way to change which height the character cant pass?

and yes id love to know how to do the texturing. all im used to is having a block with a texture haha.. id love to know how to texture terrain like that like put different textures everywhere where i want for mud and trails etc.

if you can tell me or send me a link to where i can find out how to do that id would appreciate it.
thx

Very nice, the camera needs to be smoothed out though.
