I am using FFP to multi-texture my terrain and it works great except that i am so happen to have a cliff (which is also part of the terrain) that has a waterfall model in front of it. This leads to z-buffer issue where part of the waterfall model are not visible similarly for trees, it seems to have problem in the occluded rendering where trees are supposed to be in front of the mountain but seems to be behind the mountain when view from certain angle.

I look into the wiki for the Improved overlay material, that code snippet works BUT instead of making my waterfall partially transparent, it makes the whole waterfall model visible like alpha channel ain't working at all lol

NOTE: i am not so sure if this is z-buffer or z-sorting issue but I bet it's caused by one of them :P

Any input woould be greatly appreciated

I have the same problem with a FFP Multitexturing. Any solutions?

That's because of the alpha channel in the ffp terrain textures. The only solution I know (and use) is to use the Multitexture PS 1.3 Shader from the Wiki, because this one doesn't need alpha channels.

simple answer is to set my.transparent=off and my.flare=off on the terrain..and in the shader for the terrain you can set renderstate alphablendenable=false.

But on the Multitexture PS 1.3 Shader the resolution of the texture where the camera is, it is not very good.
