When i hit the build button the menu does pop up but when i click OK, the box just disappears... i don't know why this is hapening, any help?

What version and edition do you have? Normally this shouldn't happen. If you don't know, in WED, go to help > about.

make sure, you have all 3dgs and MFC dll-files installed.

oh it worked a while back, just not anymore for some odd reason. if i open a file that already has built a .wmb file, then it comes up with the compiling tscreen, but when it opens it opens the wmb that was already there not the newly(well not actually created) file.

6.20.2? Isn't that a little outdated? 6.31.4 is the current version. Download the latest version and it should fix your problem.

Sounds like your friend got it from the Internet, and 6.20.2 is not an official release! 6.22 and 6.31.4 is! Sid you get a license transferred from Conitec? I hope not...

Also, the license of 3D GameStudio is per-user based. So you can't be getting 3DGS off a friend.

I'm glad you are getting setted out and I'm sorry for my rudeness to you. We just can't accept warez users in here and getting off a copy from a friend violates the end-user license agreement. Thus, we can't afford to ban warez users. And one more thing: Your friend should be getting a copy of 3D GameStudio only from Conitec and tell your friend that warez (that you don't pay the software from Conitec and other companies) is illegal and can hurt their (companies) sales.
