yes beta because we have started with the game but need people to help finish it and we are not going to keep this screenshots and levels as they are the concept and not good enough for the final product but still good nonetheless so you can grasp our idea and maybe understand what we expect from this project

@ ichi

Got a design document? Got some means of funding? Two things that''be be all any startoff needs.

@ everyone else

I think most people dont seem to grasp that unless you happen to be a jack of all trades, even a demo is a huge project for the few hands available to take on.. hence the recruiting.. like what Ichigo's trying to do. It's not possible to make a demo capable of really impressing professionals with a handful of men..if it were, there'd be no need to recruit others to join.

Kinda reminds me of jobs that require degrees these days.. same ones that you'd normally get to pay for school to get the degree that you now cant get because you dont have the degree. What a cycle .

I don't want to rain on your parade but I don't see how anyone would want to be part of your effort:

First issue: "massive game project" Too large a project for your current situation or level of competancy (see Third issue below)

Second issue: "planning to finish in two years time." Too long to market.

Third issue: "So we are looking for level designers, texture artists, sound coordinators, 3d modelers and programmers. " So, what is it you guys do if you need all these other people?

Sorry dudes, it doesn't add up. Two programmers with 6 years experience between them (in what language BTW?), no working documents, no proof of concept demo and *looking* for, what amounts to an entire team?

I wish you the best of luck...

Well its just like you said we need to be a jack of all trades to create a demo and we are. We need people even if we are good because we can cover all the jobs but wont then have enough time to make the project look good because we need people to help cover some of the stuff, no matter how good any two people are they can not do this alone in two years thats why we need help. The experience is not only from GStudio its from a bunch of stuff fromm the Duke3d build engine to Visual basic and Delphi its 6 years experience abroad not only on GStudio. As for funding we have part-time jobs and working on our website being connected to Google Adsense this is funds that will build up over 2 years not right away and we will pick only one or two representitive to go to E3. We already have a completed design document but don't want to show it to the public otherwise our idea will be stolen. Lastly were not trying to impress professionals with our demo here just skilled amatuers that can help us in their spare time. Oh and thanx for the luck.

Isn't that exactly who you SHOULD be trying to impress with a demo?

Not really.. especially if that's not who you're looking to draft.

This sorta thing happens alot I notice. Somebody posts..people post 900 things wrong with their post, all the while having no interest in the averted message, then others see all the flaws..and if they were interested before, they arent once done reading.

All that these people are trying to do is bump heads and get something started.
It really doesn't have to be such a screening process...::sigh::

Right on, 1ch1go.

Ice man is right laethyn and thanx for understanding there isnt a way were going to attract professionals with a simple demo but we dont need professionals when we can get a good-looking professional project done with skilled amatuers. Thanx again Iceman for seeing our point of view

Just seems a little backwards to me. IMHO, it should be Developers bring out the Demo, not the Demo brings out the developers. I think the point that everyone is trying to make is that 2 years is a long time. And doubly so for "amatuers" working on it as a hobby.

Don't get me wrong, I wish nothing but success, but as a person who has gone through numerous changes in a short time span, I've come to realize that in 2 years time, alot can happen with team members, be it marriage, kids, employment, and (god forbid) death.
