Could anyone give me a STEP BY STEP explanation on how to apply a startup loading screen for my game?
I have A6 Professional version 6.22.0

Thanks in advance for any help.
Please nothing general, last time I asked I got an answer that wasn't useful to me. I really need help with this, I've been trying to get it to work for over 7 months now.

Thank again.

You've owned a $900 piece of software for 7 months and still don't know how to load a simple startup loading screen?

6.22 Pro?

Read the manuel, there is a decent explination there. Its under...

C-script/Starter Window Definitions

I agree though, this is somewhat of a basic technique, and it would be a good idea to make sure that you can take full advantage of 900$ software befor you go and blow that kind of money on it. Just to put that out there .

I don't have warez version 6.20.2, I have a very legal version of 6.22.0, and all I asked is for a step by step explanation of using the start-up screen. Trust me, I've used the manual, I've tried everything - it simply doesn't work.
Some have suggested it doesn't work only on version 6.22.0, but I do not want to upgrade, as 6.22.0 is the most stable version, and the later versions have too many bugs I want to avoid.

So don't post if you're going to attack me, only if you really want to help.
I asked for a step by step explanation because I've tried everything - yes even the manual.

Thanks again.

I don't have the Pro edition (I have 6.31.4 and 6.40.2 (public beta) commercial), but from what I know, in WED, you go to file > starter. Open the WDL file or whatever in SED and modify the script as needed.

As a side note, 6.20.2 has a patch to make it 6.22 so users think of 6.22 as a warez version as well, but there is a legal version of 6.22. I don't know the x part in 6.22.x, however.

I agree, it seems to be very basic. But itīs wrong explained in the manual.
Try this as start:

Code:

WINDOW WINSTART
{
TITLE "Your Title";
SIZE 512,128;
MODE IMAGE;
BG_PATTERN <your bitmap.bmp>, OPAQUE;
PROGRESS RGB(0, 0, 255), 25, 0, 110, 512, 18;
}

Iīve to ask Anarchie for "TEXT" and "TEXT_STDOUT", weīve figured out the issue, but I donīt remind it.
Be sure that your picture has only 8 bit.

no science involved

Everyone BE NICE you don't taunt the new people in this forumn, here this should help, I got this from the menu code from AUM 8, although it is not what you are looking for it may give you some insight, really ignore what is just said, go talk to George, this is a good question, loading screens need to be in the Aum's go to the Acknex Magazine Users forumns and post a request with George, he will get you started, sorry I couldn't be more help.
