I believe in WED you can manually punch in coordinates... but MED desperately need some sort of function to manually type in angles!

Also, and since i'm doing a building that really exists...

WED needs to be able to have a background picture just like MED does.

I managed to use s HUGE sprite of an architectural drawing I did for the building And thats a quick way for floor plans, BUT it only works using the 3D window. Fortunately I know the building very very well... but a background picture would be a BIG help!

I'm also gonna post this in the FUTURE thread or whichever...

I don´t know yet if the interface allows snap to grid on the fly, but i can implement a function to do such a snap for selected bocks/groups. I take a look on this when i go to implement a function that allow you to move vertics on the same positions from different blocks.

Sorry, but the interface don´t support background pictures.

Wow I'm very happy that the wed SDK is out.. and that there is one who knows how to use it. Will save me much time.
I sended this topic to my mapper, so maybe you'll get some new proposals in the next hours

thanks a lot for developping such a plugin,
TripleX

how about adding new edges to a block for example to make a cyclinder out of it.
Very good for adding belated details (seen in Hammer2 Worldbuilder).

Yes, adding vertices manual to a surface and divide the face into two this way would be very usefull!

Hi,

spliting a face with a vertex or an edge is not a big thing, take a look when most is finsished.

LOL, evenly i got the idea about the most wanted thing for wed improvement, everybody is annoing about that and nobody wants it:

Just draw a block in the desired size, not only small, medium and large.
By the way all other objects can be draw too.

Hello,

here i go again, sorry that the plugin is still in development, but this summer wasn´t for programmers, as an Hardcore-API-Coder MFC makes me crazy, so i lay it on ice.

In the next days there comes the first test-version, but i would to like implement new units for creation first, so you can say x quants = y units, for display and input. Also you can type for example +2m and it will add it to the values.

Also planned:

lb = litte block
b = block
bb = bigblock

Please post specail units you want too? All normal units can used.

I plan a free version with all basic types and a full version inc. sourcecode for ~20 Euro. I think it´s a fair price.
