I love this idea. With it, I could probably have pannable, tourable views of my dream worlds for my rather extensive dream journal, especially for the best of my dreams. However, the files for browser-related stuff would need to be compressed (care to download a 3 MB file for just the plain textures, or download 200 KB for compressed textures (compressed as in taking Winzip to it, not turning 16-bit textures into 4-bit textures).

I think the scope for,for a start educational aplications would be enormous , kids learn faster and more intuitively with 3D demonstrations. Theres complaints about boys falling behind academically, give them a virtual 3D environment and they will solve any problem, if the exams could be staged in a game environment then boys would excell. The current 3D web graphics are just not half as engaging as game graphics, most of the scenes are slowed down drastically when you place a couple of lights, unlike Gstudio, where they are "pre baked", ok the file sizes may be bigger, but whats a few meg nowadays, ideally it would be streamed, geometry first. Online multy player games is the future....go west....

If it can be done with a plug-in there is no reason to sacrifice the click together universality of the development pipeline. It would be good for all.

I highly doubt Conitech would ever make 3DGS browser compatible. It would mean creating a whole new program. They would have to make an ActiveX control for their program, Which basically means... ALOT of code changing. You can keep asking for it, but I wouldn't wait or hope for it.
