When looking at scaling objects I discovered when you have a regular model from MED and import it into WED and start to scale it, its bottom origion stays in the same spot along the z axis and according to where you put it in MED it scales away from that point in a given direction from where it is scaled according to WED, (sorry about explanation, I don't know how to offer a picture to show you guys, anyway this isn't important). Anyway this is all true except for when I tried to make a sphere that was 1 quant big for scaling purposes, all rules then were thrown out the window, it scaled normally except for the fact that the z axis, no matter where I put it in WED or MED increased as I scaled it. Is it possible to make small models and then scale them? This isn't a typical process but I was wondering if it was possible.

There's a bug with WED. Model Z positions are based on the very bottom vertex and this vertex is moved to the 0 position with all others above it moved accordingly. I've found this to cause many problems myself and not just with scaling.

Lol glad someone else noticed and not just me, yeah I can see how that would be a major problem, thanks.

I've known about this since at least August 2005, possibly earlier. It forces me to have to reopen MED and the model to figure out where the vertex belongs and it makes it a pain to position models. I submitted a bug report to, hopefully get it looked into. Even in 6.40.4, it's still present....
