hi,
This sort of relates to my last topic, but it's lesss complicated.

I have one model, with its own skin. I imported another model into it, but that imported model loses its skin. Is there a way to make it keep its own skin? When I try and create a new skin for the imported model, I can't because it's using pieces of the existing model's skin already. If I painted over that portion of the original model's skin in order to skin the new model, it would mess up the old model's skin. So basically the skins overlap. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

once you have merged the two models together, you will have to export the new skin template from the skins menu. it should have the skin of the two models on it. you may also have to move some faces and resize some parts of the models skin template so it will all fit. then, you have to repaint the single skin with both the models.

does that make sense?!

so, to answer your question. no, i don't think so or at least i haven't heard of a way.
