I am starting work on a game concept that I know I cannot do justice on my own. It is a John Wayne style Western. The main fictional character is a U.S. Marshal, Winfield Scott Jarvis 1860 - 1905. the story begins in 1885 when Scott is on the trail of some particulary bad characters. Its an old west shooter with a Lois La'Mour style story.

The project is open to all interested parties who want to make a game similar to GUN but can be played by all age groups. In other words, a John Wayne style western. This will require character development in Mr. Wayne's style. Not the Rooster Cogburn character, more like the Chisholm character or some combination of the two. He has to be interesting.

I want to use accurate period weapons and attire. No drugstore cowboys. I have contacted DeWolfe Music about scoring the game so there will be music in the style of those old motion pictures. The idea is to bring a motion picture style game to life.

I am hoping this can become a commercial game. This is on a single share system just as if you were in a crab boat in Alaska. I 'm the Captain I get two shares. the rest is divided accordingly. We'll vote on the distribution.

Sounds interesting, but which positions are you offering?

I need level designers, modelers, and scripters. This is a major project to take up. I hope to interest a publisher. I may need a project manager if this idea catches on. The games I have made are not comercial quality. My expertise is limited i so many areas. I do, however, have the story and I know weaponry, especially stuff from that period. My models, to date are quite accurate. I have a single level test on my website of MasterShootist, a simple shooting game I am making on my own to showcase weapons in my colection and those we use in our Hunting and Shooting videos.

I have created a forum accessable at wepstec.com for those interested in partcipating.

Thank you for your interest.

MasterShootist is moving forward. In serious need of someone who is good at making outdoor levels: Mountains, plains and deserts.
