Hello all, I have a few question I would like to ask so here they are...

1. Would my game run faster if everything were made of entities or blocks?

2. What is the best model editor for modeling besides MED, 3Ds Max, or Maya?

3. Can I make levels in a seperate program? (I'm not dissing WED, I just want to try somthing different)

4. Where is the best place to find plug-ins for WED, MED, and SED?

-=thanks=-

PS. I have got acknex.exe working, the problem was my video drivers.

PPS. Doug, I wish I knew this before-hand, The copy is legit, but My friend is in Russia right now with his powerintruth group. I'll ask him for his A6 password when he gets back.

Models render the fastest. You can have 100,000 visible polygons and still get past 60 fps on an old Radeon 9600 XT without updated drivers.

There's a whole host of choices. MED comes with Gamestudio but is very limited and quite buggy (mostly minor bugs though). Along with 3DS Max and Maya, there's Blender, Wings 3D, Terragen (used for making terrains, not general models), and likely many more.

I use MED to make levels with. Since model-only levels are much faster than levels made with blocks allowing for far more detail in shape and design (and near-instant build times), you should use some sort of modelling program for this.

This I don't know anything about. Someone else will have to help you with this.

I didn't think the video drivers had anything to do with it, but glad you got it fixed.

Do not ask for the password. It is illegal to do so.

You claimed that it was your video card. What video card do you have? If you don't know but bought the computer from off the shelf (whether done online or in a local retail store), what computer model do you have and what company is it from (so we can look it up).
